2018 started with travel. Andrew and I had spent New Year’s in Iceland and a month later we traveled to The Dalles, Oregon for Jocy and Jonathan’s wedding. This was a very special wedding for us because Jonathan had been a long time friend of Andrew’s. They had met in Louisiana, where they both had lived and attended the same church. They quickly became good friends. Years later while Andrew and I were dating, and Jonathan had moved back to Oregon, we had a chance to fly over and visit. It was such a fun, memorable trip. Not too much time after that trip, Jonathan served as one of Andrew’s groomsmen in our wedding. Fast forward, Jonathan met Jocy. He would call Andrew and tell him all about how he was falling in love with her. We were so excited for him! When he told us he was engaged, we did a happy dance! To say that we were thrilled at the opportunity to not only attend Jonathan and Jocy’s wedding but also photograph it was an understatement. We were ecstatic!
Jocy and Jonathan are two of the kindest, sweetest, and most grateful people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Their day was beautiful. It was celebrated at The Colombia Gorge Discovery Center and Museum which is nestled around the mountains in The Dalles. A scenic view, but quite a windy one! We encountered high winds during photo time, which meant being outside had to be cut short; but nonetheless, their day went perfectly. And as you will see from the photos, there was a lot of fun and laughs had by all!
Jocy + Jonathan, we wish you so much joy and blessings in your marriage and we can’t wait to hear more of your journey together as husband and wife!
